John-PapadopoulosFrom Sunderland, went to school in Newcastle and swam competitively for Newcastle ASC, his school and other local clubs at regional, Scottish Nationals, English Schools National Finals, and at University level until 2008.

Following completion of his BSC in Sports Science at the University of Sunderland John went on to study Physiotherapy at Masters level at The University of Cumbria.

John started working locally for a Private company specialising in soft tissue injuries, injuries at work, and particularly enjoyed working with sporting injuries. He moved into the NHS to gain valuable experience in the Orthopaedic setting. John had always wanted to work as part of the NSIC team since receiving treatment at the clinic himself after picking up a shoulder injury as a swimmer.

John has worked with a variety of athletes from many sporting backgrounds, ranging from grassroot to Elite levels. He worked as part of a team treats a wide range of athletes of all ages competing at the World Triathlon Stage in London 2013 and 2014.

After gaining valuable experience providing regular support for the swimmers at a local club John made a move to working more with Rugby. He has worked extensively in Rugby in particular with local club Ryton RFU but also providing services to Durham County RFU, Durham Potential Players for Rugby (DPP) and the Falcons Academy.

Since 2013 John has provided support to Team USA Select Basketball on the UK leg of their European tours which would see them taking on teams such as the Newcastle Eagles.

Has a keen interest in many watching many live sports and attending live music gigs and festivals.
