Chiropody Clinic
Chiropody is a traditional and established method of assessing and treating a variety of foot conditions. Our aim is to provide foot care treatments to the very highest standard therefore keeping your feet healthy, pain free and in excellent condition.
All our chiropodists are fully qualified and registered with the health professions council and are also members of the society of chiropody and podiatry. They have a wealth of experience and will tailor the treatment to suit your needs.
Common conditions which are treated within the clinic include:
Removal of hard skin, calluses and corns- Diabetic and arthritic footcare
- Nail cutting and the management of all nail conditions
- Management of in-growing toe nails
- Management of fungal infections
- Padding and strapping of foot deformities
- Advice on footwear
Podiatry Clinic
Podiatry is the analysis, diagnosis and treatment of foot disorders. You will receive a detailed gait analysis whereby every aspect of your lower limb alignment is assessed.
Various measurements will be taken of your lower limbs including leg length, ankle and lower limb alignment. The podiatrist may prescribe either:
- custom made functional insoles*
- custom made accomodative insoles*
* Both of these devices are made to the highest standards at our local laboratory.
Conditions commonly treated include:
- Heel and Arch pain
- Ankle weakness/instability
- Shin and knee pain
- Achilles tendon problems
- Bunions and other toe abnormalities
- Recurrent injuries or symptoms
